Hello, World! I'm Félix—a Lead Product with a passion that sits at the crossroads of computer science and product development. Over the past 6 years, I’ve build numerous projects for myself, doing the discovery, design and implementation of every features, but none of them got some adoption.
What I lack is marketing skills and a strategy…
That’s why today, I'm embarking on a new challenge: to build a product from the ground up, one that's not just another project, but a solution that will find users and make them stay because of the value the product give them.
What’s the Product ?
Studio is an app designed to foster seamless collaboration between teams and clients. Kinda like a central hub for solo creator or teams like agencies to work in full transparency with multiple clients. It will give vision to each clients on what’s going on over their requests and give the team a way to update their clients.
Studio will be integrated with existing tools like Slack to give an easy communication channel and updates to the clients or like Linear to let the team plan their work.
As of right now, nothing is started yet, we’ll start in the next episode !
The Spark Behind the Initiative
Throughout my career, I've witnessed the struggles teams face in maintaining transparency and effective feedback loops. The tech world often operates in silos, with teams working under tight deadlines, which hampers collaboration and innovation.
My experiences, both as a freelancer and within teams, have led me to a crucial realization: there's a better way to work together. And with the remote world we are in, asyncrhronous communication is key.
Objectives and Goals ?
My immediate goal is straightforward: to launch a MVP version of Studio and welcome beta testers into the fold.
In the long run, I envision this tool in the hands of freelancers and small agencies that will help me shape the product.
Why Build in Public?
My forte lies in discovery, design, and delivery, leaving the marketing and growth side of Product Management as uncharted territories. This is why embarking on this journey publicly seems like the right thing to do to push me.
This approach isn't just about developing a product; it's about demystifying the process and empowering others to bring their visions to life, regardless of their skill gaps.
Moreover, with just one day a week dedicated to this project, I aim to prove that even with limited time, significant strides can be made.
Join Me on This Journey
Every saturday, I'll write about what I did, how I dit it, and pull back the curtain on the entire process—from the initial sparks of discovery to the implementation of delivery and the nuances of online communication.
Expect a blend of challenges, roadblocks, and (hopefully) triumphs, all shared with the hope of inspiring others to create and dive into product development.
Anticipated Challenges
Consistency and communication are the two pillars that will define the success of this journey. Balancing my life and my job with this project will test my limits, but I believe in the power of public accountability.
Finding others—those interested not just in the product, but in the journey—will be the greatest challenge and achievement.
We're at the starting line of something new. If you're intrigued by the prospect of building a product from scratch, or if you've ever wondered about the intricacies of product development, now is the perfect time to join this journey.

This is very exiting, Good luck to you and i would to be part of this🥳.
Usually when I see a bunch of text like this I would just scan through it to get an idea of what the topic is about; however with this article I read it thoroughly because I actually felt a connection as if it was me writing it. I really like the idea of the project and the reason you are doing it is very honourable, this line is what encouraged me the most "This approach isn't just about developing a product; it's about demystifying the process and empowering others to bring their visions to life, regardless of their skill gaps." As an undergrad Math and CS student with no prospect of an internship this gave me the attitude of build something you love for yourself until an opportunity will hopefully roll in. I am already invested in your project and will be following every Saturday and I hope that it becomes a great success, I would also love to be a part of this project and to be able to help with anything no matter how big or small even commenting is making me feel like I sort of contributed to a greater good. All the success Félix!
